‘De-Motivating a Self-driven person is a Crime’

This world is divided into people who do the things and people who get the credit and there is nothing wrong in this, as this has been happening right from the evolution of the human beings. People has now got so accustomed to this prevailing norms that they hardly even raise question on this discrepancy. For generation after generation, sycophancy has prevailed over merit and there is no surprise that this is continuing more or less in different forms everywhere and perhaps will continue in the future too, till the society exists.

But the day, the sycophancy starts engulfing the organization and the self-driven employees starts getting de-motivated, then it’s really a time for introspection for the higher management of the organization.

Self-motivation is all about self-power which helps one to stay motivated without the influence of other people or situation. Self-motivated people need the least supervision by people of higher echelon, as they are enough motivated to perform even an extremely difficult and challenging task. They know their responsibility very well and are very much concerned about their assigned jobs and the growth of the organization where they work. This is such an attributes which comes after great efforts, right from upbringing of one's very childhood. Self-motivation is such a type of motivation which comes within you inherently by nature or by the way of upbringing and that is the reason that it hardly comes in instalments i.e. either we have it or we don’t have it. 

So, the quality which comes in a person after so much of hard works, discipline and dedication should not be wasted away for any kind of prejudice, biasness, pre-occupied notions or any other reason. In fact, it’s a crime, if even single self-driven employee gets demotivated due to such prejudices or biasness prevailing in the organization.

Hence, it’s high time for the higher management to introspect from time to time that what kind of work-culture they want to enforce in the organization. Do they want to enforce culture in the organization, where people occasionally works and rest of the time mange the things just by doing sycophancy or do they want to encourage those employees, who silently works day and night for the growth, betterment and upliftment of the organization.

Here I would like to quote a few lines said by Lionel Messi, one of the all-time greatest footballer in the world history, which elucidates the true meaning of self-motivation and how self-driven persons think differently from other:

‘’Money is not a motivating factor. Money doesn't thrill me or make me play better because there are benefits to being wealthy. I'm just happy with a ball at my feet. My motivation comes from playing the game I love. If I wasn't paid to be a professional footballer, I would willingly play for nothing’’.

Hope, the readers here are wise enough to read not only the lines which are written in the above quote but can also understand the essence of the meaning in between the lines, which speaks lauder than the written lines.
